Hybernating this Winter

Is it me or has winter been a little more chilly and wet this season? I have to admit I do love the sound of rain and how it makes you feel cozy when you snuggle on the couch with a warm sippycup full of milk. Well, that's what I've been up to these days. It can get pretty boring being cooped up in the house all day. Wanna see how I like to shake things up around here?

I've taken up cheese making. I've been making the most out of my baths. Can you see how much I can splash? I've also had some time to practice my barista skills. Good morning! Would you care for a latte?
Just making sure it looks delicous.
I'm also now a pro at basketball.
And when we finally got our tree I helped Mom decorate it.
But she got pretty upset when I ruined her decorations. You see, they were all made of glass and unfortunately, glass doesn't hold up when thrown on tile. I'm speaking from experience.
But Dad was nice enough to share his some of his delicious chex mix that Mom made.
And the very next night, Dad shared his dessert from Yogurt Land.
And when I got my first present from Aunty Jan, I just couldn't resist! I waited for Mom to take a shower and then snuck a peek.
I've also been wanting to take up painting and thought this would be a great time to start. But please don't tell Dad. He'll be so upset if he found out what I did to the new tv.
And if Dad gets mad at me, he won't let me walk on him.
Gosh Mom! Why so early?

So I realized why Mom took all those close-ups this morning. She was scheming to get my hair cut. And it turned out to be the most awful experience of my life. TEN agonizing minutes of complete torture. Here is the end result. What do you think? Was it worth it?
By the way, yes, I am opening the door.
Here's a picture of my tree, doned in all-plastic ornaments. Mom even had to hand tie all 80 ornaments with ribbon since the wire hooks are a major hazzard. Oh, you caught me!!
And to be sure, they do not break when thrown. And I can even bite without fear.
(A really hard bite)
See ya!

I Am Thankful

November has been a pretty quiet and calm month. Nope, no catastrophies here...Well, nothing major aside from that one day I decided to take a walk alone (out the front door) without anyone noticing. Luckily, Lita saw me on the sidewalk before I got to venture too far.So yes, I can now open all the doors in the house and I love to press buttons, mainly the ones on the tv cable box, and I like to climb on the sofa so I can stand and jump on the side table.
Here I am in my cage-fighting pose. Notice the fierce upperbody physique and you may not be able to see here but I got the best quads and calves this side of the Rockies. So, in honor of the holiday season, I wanted to take a moment to give thanks.
I am thankful for the best Dad in the whole world. After a long day at the office, he always has time to have fun with me.
I am thankful for a great head of hair. So whispy soft, and it is getting a little long, but I kinda like it.
Last nite, I was thankful for cousin Matthew letting me turn off and on the computer, even when he was using it.
I am thankful for conversations with cousin Andrew.
I am thankful for some of the women in my life, who always feed and clean after the men.
I am thankful for nourishment. I am not too fond of adult food that isn't sweet but I do have to admit, this is a darn pretty bird.
I am thankful for after dinner wagon rides when everyone's eaten too much.
I am very thankful for having my own drawer in the kitchen so I can play with all my toys. I am thankful for cousin Ben for letting me slap his back and belly.

I am thankful for my family and friends. And although I couldn't be with everyone I love so much, hopefuly, soon, Mom and Dad will have the strength and confidence to take me with them on a plane to visit my other family in Hawai'i. Until then, I wish you all good health and happiness. Happy Black Friday!

Trick or Treat!

Didn't October seem to fly by so fast? It seems like only yesterday I started walking. And now I am running and giving kisses on demand.
We had fun visiting the nearby Pumpkin Patch.
But if only I was just a little taller...
Oh well...at least I got to play with all the hay and dirt, cuz that's what counts.
And boy was I hot and thirsty from running around!
MMMM! Now that was refreshing!

Mommy says I'm looking more like a shark. Hmmm...maybe I can be one for Halloween??

Hey! These pajamas are getting a little small.
Am I pulling off the sexy look?
On Halloween, we went to my Tia Ima and Tio Memo's house to go trick-or-treating. Cousin Allie decided to have fun with Dad while he napped.
So can you guess what I am?
Me and Dad in costume. From the front, we may not look like much...
But from the back, we are a perfect pair!
(BTW, Dad is a Kikkoman shoyu bottle with a red cap.)
Cousin Allie was dressed as Jasmin.
Here is me and Mommy. We're about to go out to get some candy!!
What a great Halloween I had. Hope you did too!
