Autumn's In the Air

Hi y'all! Greeting from sunny California! Hope you all are staying warm and dry!

I just love Fall, don't you? It brings a much needed cooldown from the summer dessert heat. And we can now take our daily family bike ride around the neighborhood to go look for road signs.

Me and Daddy like being silly at our local pumpkin patch.

 I want my Mummy!!!

I love Toms Farms. There's just so much to do.

The only downer was that me and Daddy got to ride the train only twice because it was a pretty crowded day.

Beam me up Scotty!!

Don't you think Daddy really does looks like Dr McCoy?

Me, on the other hand, unintentionally probably look more like Sulu.

I pick treats over tricks, please!

These clowns were sooo awesome. They hung out in front of their house on Sena St scaring all the passerbyers and did not utter a single word. I scored some candy from them but I do believe people were too afraid, as their candy bowl was still full by the end of the night. Luckily I'm to young to appreciate their scariness, but many of the "cool" teenagers were really spooked by them.

We even went back to their house to take another picture.

By the end of the night, I was too tired to walk home. Thanks for the ride Daddy!

And if you're wondering what Mommy wore...well, she was too busy making our costumes and making sweet treats for school.

Plus, she wasn't too keen on wearing Uhuru's outfit.

Hope you had a fun Halloween!

Ohana Time

Hey guys! it's your favorite blogger Dillon here, keeping you updated from Casa Escobar. Last time we chatted, I had just started at my new preschool. It's been over a month now and I am slowly getting used to the early morning routine. Usually, Mommy feeds my some yummy waffles to get me awake.

Sometimes, it takes me an hour to finish my breakfast cuz I love to read my books at the table.

And then cousin Sarah (from far away Hawai'i), Aunty Jan and Grandma Lahaina came for a spontaneous visit for 2 whole weeks. I first met cousin Sarah and Aunty Jan only last month when they stayed overnite on a layover. It was a very short visit but still fun while it lasted.

Here is Sarah on her first morning at my house. They arrived late in the night and since I woke up very early for school, I didn't even see them until I returned home from school.

Let me tell you a little about her, this gals likes to get her grub on. And Aunty prepares her gourmet meals all day long. Here, she's having strawberry yogurt, fresh strawberries and bananas and belgian waffles.

I was so everwhelmed when I saw everyone that getting to bed was tough...so tough, it took over 2 hours. A late nite plus a nightmare equals a bad morning. I called in sick. I had to do it. Me and my cuz got to enjoy a liesurely morning together.

After breakfast, we sat and laughed while watching Little Bear.

I even showed her my collection of books, I think she enjoyed my readings.

Yes, I'm still in my pjs.

I think she likes my bed, but I'm not surprised since everyone likes it too.

Mmmm, my favorite time of day, snacktime!!

We got to take a stroll in the park.

It was quite hot so we opted to stay under shelter and enjoy or tasty cold beverages.

Grandma made a delicious somen (noodle) salad. Even Sarah loved it and wanted more!!!

Mommy's herb garden is out of control so Grandma and Lita helped to pick some basil for Aunty Jan's pesto.

Me and Sarah sporting matching pjs.

Showing off our piko (belly button). Dang girl, what you got in that belly of your's? It's bigger than mine!

Daddy showed us some funny pictures on his phone.

By the look of Sarah's facial expression, this is probably a food pic.

(Somewhat) matching pajamas again.

We also got to visit the apple orchards at Oak Glen again.

And it may come to no surprise that we didn't get to pick apples again this year. I guess it was a busy season and they didn't have any ready to be picked on this particular day.

But we didn't even get to pick raspberries either. What a downer. See the slim pickings below?

Although we didn't apple pick, raspberry pick or even hike, we were all exhausted on the way home.

I gave Sarah a goodnite kiss on their last night. Boy did the 2 weeks fly by.

I'm gonna miss you Aunty!!

And Grandma too!

Sarah's all ready to go. Oh wait, that's my backpack, silly girl!

And just like that, they were gone! The house is quiet and still once again. By the way, like my bedtime ensemble? I picked it out all by myself!

Now I've got to start thinking about Halloween.
