Catching Up

Wow! It's been a long two weeks since my last update--it's been quite hectic here lately. I've been busy with planning Dillon's 1st Birthday, while creating and making invitations for another birthday and not to mention Dillon's grandma took a trip to El Salvador. It's been surprisingly wonderful being a 24hour mom. I absolutely love spending every waking (and sleeping) moment with the little man.

It's been a real rollercoaster ride with Dillon. He now flips over and over until he hits an obstacle. He says Mama, Papa and Nana and often screams like a parakeet. He still naps randomly, wakes up a few times in the middle of the night and needs a bottle in the wee morning hours. And eating has been a bit messy lately--he likes to spit while he has a full mouth of food.

Who ate my french fries??

Here is a new toy. Now Dillon gets to spend time with me in the kitchen.

Hungry?

Dill, the Inspector, fliping through his keys...

This one's my new favorite.

A-hum...what are you doing on the couch??

Busted!

Excuse me! I just folded those towels Mr. Dillon!

Play time with Dad. Love that smile!

A new toy inherited from Cousin Allie.

Dillon is my alarm clock. I can't think of a better sight to see first thing in the morning.

Bath time hair-do.

Happy Birthday Hector!

Hector turned 32 this past Sunday. It sure was a busy day.

During the day, we made a quick visit to the Estrada home to visit their new baby girl. Sammy is 3 and Dill loved playing with his toys.

Dill's legs are a little too short.
Isn't he so cute??? Sammy is holding the umbrella for Dillon so he can be more comfortable in the shade.

Then it was off to Tia Chelo's house for Hector's birthday dinner.

This is the cake I made. Hector LOVES cheeseburgers so I thought it would be fun to bake a cake in shape of one. Getting a kiss from Papa.
Dillon and Tia Chelo. Look what's cooking in the background....

Tia Teresa surprised Hector with fresh made pupusas!! They were so delicious!!!

Playing with Cousin Allie in the playpen.

And where was Dillon amidst all the excitement???

On Sunday morning, we took a stroll through Irvine Park.

Hope you had a wonderful birthday Dad!!

New Adventures

This was yet another week of FUN FUN FUN! Dillon is beginning to master the art of snacking. I guess that's no shocker--the boy loves to eat.

He recently began eating meats and loves it! Here he is eating chicken and sweet potatoes.
We've begun training Dillon for gymnastics. I think he's a natural...

Just kidding!! He actually loves to bang on his drums with his feet.

His legs are quite strong. He is already able to stand (with some assistance).

Check out that badonk!

He sure loves playing with Dad. Check out how much air he got!

This weekend we took a trip to LA to our favorite place...LA Farmers Market.

We also had time to swing by a restaurant that Hector and Lita used to visit a long, long time ago...El Salvadore Cafe.

Chillaxing Week?

With Lita (gramma) gone for most of the week, Dill tagged along with me to all my chiro appointments, mall trips and lunch dates. It turned out to be a busy and tired week. After all, it's not easy getting a 22 lb baby in and out of a carseat.

Chillaxing on the couch with friends. Check out the bed head!

Waiting for lunch. Peach, banana and raspberries, oh my!!!
Dilly's neck is getting bigger and it is not easy finding bibs that fit that neck of his!

I give up! The bib just does not want to stay on that neck! By the look of his flared nostrils, it looks like I'm not the only one who's frustrated.

Still trying to get the hang of the sippy cup...
Where does the water come out from?? Nothing here...
Maybe here??
Or how about here??
Getting closer...

Look Mama! No hands!!!
And again...waiting for food. When is Dilly not eating?

Mama, I think I need to change my clothes. I'm soaked!

Snack time - cheese course.

Look how tall I am (censored)!!

Dilly and Daddy having a laugh over blueberries.

Here are the loves of my life...my two monsters!!
