My New School

I started my new school last week. It's really fun, well, most of the time.
So here is how my first day went...
I'm not yet used to the very early schedule so Mommy lets me eat breakfast in the car.

We finally arrived, 2nd floor please!

So excited! Gotta put my lunchbox away in my cubbie.

Mr. Kyle pulling me in my favorite red wagon.

You know me...always thinking of food. I'm first at the table for snacktime.

I love all these new toys!!

I even got to teach Mr. Kyle how to play his guitar.

After a very fun but long day, I fell fast asleep soon after driving out of the parking lot.

Tango no Sekku!

It's Boy's Day in Japan and Hawaii, Grandma Lahaina sent me a festive kainobori (carp windstock) to hang.I celebrated in style--first, going to class. But it was our last day so I was sad to say goodbye. I love playing with my teacher Miss Mona and all my friends but what I especially will miss is the musical parade.

When we got home, Mommy and me took a quick dunk in the pool and after a long nap, Daddy got some shrimp on the barbie and we dined al fresco. Hopefully we will even have some time to fly my new kite!

On a related note, last weekend, we celebrated Dia del Nino, Children's Day, celebrated in Mexico. We had lots of fun in the sun. Check out Noah's awesome dive!
Oh no, Daddy overboard! Grab the noodle and I'll reel you in!
Lastly, a little serenade by yours truly. Hope you like!

Happy Easter Peeps!

Easter is around the corner so I wanted to wish everyone a great hoppity weekend. We had an early Easter sha-bang here at my casa so me and Mama had a lot of preparing to do.

I had to keep busy while Mama boiled some 42 eggs.

BTW, like my skills here? Me and Mama had some delicious saimin (it's asian noodle soup for all y'all Mainlanders).

Speaking of sulphur, I had to help Dad with the trash.

Do you like my new shirt from my Aunty Jan who lives in Hawaii?

It reads "love my musubi" (Japanese rice ball) which is one of my fav foods, especially with organic nori. My Aunty knows me so well!!

I also love some wild salmon with sticky rice and peas. Nom Nom.

Knuckles for that Mama! It was delish!!
And then the big day came! Daddy was hired to take pictures all day, which is why we only have a few to share. Daddy, please don't quit your day job!

After swimming and eating, we colored eggs. Lots and lots of eggs.

Did I mention Mama boiled 42 eggs?

Then we decorated cookies-not exactly my cup of tea. As you can see here, I wanted out!

But I do believe everyone else had fun.

Then finally, the hunt was on.

My friend Pilar found a ton, she even unearthed some big kid eggs.

But not me, I strickly stuck to the baby eggs since they were filled with the best stuff...mini oreos, and little cheddar bunny crackers.

Dang it! Bucket is heavy! I need some help!

Thanks Mama, for offering a hand.

Hailey found an orange egg which contained money.

And Tannin was the big winner, finding the half burried golden egg under the deck. Sorry, no picture of that..a-hum Daddy?

We had a fantastic time and hope everyone had fun too!

Spring fever

Greetings from Sunny California! Yup, you heard it here, sun is finally out! Yippie! Time to put your shoes on and hit the park!

Ummmmm...is something wrong here!"? Opps! Silly me!

We had a fantastic weekend celebrating Daddy's birthday. We started off at the Long Beach Aquarium. I love this place so...

There was so much to see...

Sting rays...

I said " HI!" to all the little sharks.

Sorry, my cheeks take up most of this pic but if you look very close, there are sea lions dancing about.

And finally, it was time to leave, so I got a big kiss from a friendly shark and said bye-bye to all. Then, the fam came over for some good grub. Unfortunately, the pool heater was sick so my cousins had to handle the frigid 75 degree water.
And my cousins Allie and Matthew stayed for a few days. As you can see, I like to follow Allie around.

And then they had to go back home. And Daddy had to go back to work. So its just me and Mama again.

So what do we do to have fun? On the days I have no class, we usually hang out at the park. Notice the low clouds in the background? I guess spring decided to take a vacation as well.

I didn't want to chance it, so I told Mama we had to go. After all, trying to go down a slide while it's sprinkling isn't much fun. I love me some chocolate pudding!

Combined with some Wow Wow Wubbzy, well, that makes it nearly a perfect day!

Sometimes, we stay inside so to keep from getting bored, I LOVE to open the garage door. Yes, I lugged this chair all the way from the dining room and no, I'm not supposed to open the garage door.

And when I'm hungry I get what I want from the fridge. Sometimes, I have to get up close to see all the goods Mama likes to hide from me.

Hope you are having a fabulous spring with better weather!
